The day was sunny, but the animals in the forest did not notice the beautiful weather. They were disputing who can run the fastest. As always, the Rabbit and then brag.

By ignoring the weariness, the Tortoise stepped back onto the bridge and stood there, beaming and proud and shyly waved to the crowd the animals. This is one of the happiest in his life.
Rabbits poor and stupid! What a shame he had to remember that every animal is asleep when watching through the Tortoise!
What a shame because he had been defeated by the Turtles! How sorry he was bragging and big head!
"This is where you, the Tortoise. This is the gift of gold buttons," he said quietly with floppy ears. "San congratulations!"
Other animals laugh.
"It's okay, Rabbit," said the Tortoise with a friendly, "Keep the button again. I'm so happy today. But always remember: slow and steady will win the race, a slow but steady ........ ......"
